Yellowstone with the Whites!

May 2010

My father-in-law is a drug rep in Boise and he had a conference in Yellowstone over a weekend in May. They invited us to come up and stay a few days with them, so we took off on Thursday to spend the weekend. We had to switch suites after the first night which was kind of a pain, and the weather wasn't terrific, but we sure had a great time none the less! Here are some pictures.

We stopped at a park for awhile while waiting for Carley and Rex to arrive, and once they showed up, the family got in come quality family time playing on the playground.  I opted out to take the pictures...:)

Bison or Buffalo--whats the difference?  Any of you who have been to Yellowstone probably have pictures exactly like these ones.  I know I've seen this situation before...

Charlie and I had to stay in the old lodge because it was snowing and blowing so bad!  Good thing I'd seen Old Faithful before-that way I thouroughly enjoyed sitting on the wooden rocking chairs in the nice warm lodge while everyone stayed outside!  Look at poor little Charlie--we didn't have any warm clothes!  Good thing we had an extra pair of sweatpants for his head! :) I keep forgetting about the weather in these parts--its not summer yet, unfortunatley.  That also explains why I was all dressed up in Rex's coat...Thanks Rex!

We drove through Teton National Park to get back to Bear Lake.  It was a nice rainy drive and we didn't really get to see the mountains at all!  But even with all the clouds they were still amazing!

Here's little Hannah swimming in the pool with Daddy!  She loves playing in the pools!  She will only step in the hot tub for about 2 seconds, then she gets out and runs around, repeat....  She could spend all day in the kids pool though!  What a cute little pair!
