Nothing much....

What to say?? I just felt like making a post, so don't get excited for any cool stories, pictures or videos of Hannah walking-I wish! She seems to think that its not even worth trying anymore, so hopefully one day she'll just stand up and walk, just like she's done with all the other little tricks she's picked up. For example, just last week she suddenly figured out that you're supposed to reverse down the stairs, not tumble down face first. She also thinks now that she should just feed herself since she's figured out how to hold her spoon. She also knows where Charlie is and where a person's nose is located. Its crazy how fast she picks these things up, and I've heard that your second baby picks things up even faster because they have an example to watch all the time. Sounds good to me!

So, I took a little fall down the stairs at my in-laws in Boise. I was loading up the car and had two heavy duffle bags over each shoulder, lost my traction on my shoe for 2 seconds, and suddenly I slammed down hard on my butt and then bounced down a few more stairs. I will admit, my backside is really aching, but thats about the extent of my casualties. My doctors in Boise recommended that I stay and be monitored that night, but I decided to come to my doc here the next morning. They did a stress test and everything was great, but he did say I was having contractions. My next appointment is Monday morning and they're doing an internal to see how far I've dilated, effaced--all that fun stuff. We'll see how real these contracts are if I've dilated at all. Other than that, I'm simply sore all over and looking for ways to induce labor naturally--there's no way I want this baby just storing fat for 3 more weeks and coming out weighing 10lbs! Of course, I will be happy to go full term for a healthy baby boy, but my labor and delivery might make me think otherwise...

Things are great for the little family. Presently we are filling out supplemental applications for Jake's Med Schools and should be hearing about any possible interviews within the next few months. Jake got a good grade on his MCAT that is right around the averages for some schools and above average on the rest. I'm confident that all it will take is an interview and he's in for sure. Even Jake's pre-med advisor thinks he's a shoe-in from their interview last month--thats really promising, because he's seen his share of applicants! I'll have to post a list like my old roomie Erin has so that you can all see the status of our school applications.

Hannah is being a super cute girl and we love her soo much! While in Boise, she got a doll and learned how to "be soft" and how to "give the baby loves". Now she'll be a pro older sister! I'm sure we're still going to have our problems, but these will be nice skills to start off with. She is almost off her bottle, unless Charlie gets one, then we might be in for more difficulties in the future.

Well, I due August 25th and turned 37 weeks/full term on Tuesday, so I guess now we're just waiting to see what happens. I took a little hospital tour this morning and got pre-registered, so now I've just got to get that hospital bag packed and we're good to go. (Not like it matters--we live about 2 minutes away from the hospital. If I wasn't in labor I could just walk there! :) Not sure what the next few weeks will bring, a baby or boredom... If baby, you'll see pictures soon. If boredom, you might be subject to more boring posts, such as this one. :) I'd attach some pictures, but I can't seem to find my camera.... Hopefully we find it soon! Thats one thing we should probably have handy at the hospital. :) Love you all-thanks for reading!

OH Laura! I'm sorry to hear your fell down the stairs, but glad to hear it was only on your butt and only a couple of stairs. You should make someone else carry those bags for you!!! :)

I'm glad to hear that you're feeling good overall. And, I hope that you can have your baby "on time" or a week early, but no earlier. A girl in my ward had her little boy 3 weeks early and he was in the NICU for about a week. So I wouldn't want that to happen to your little one. I can't wait for him to get here. I really need to send you a gift or something.

Hope you can find something to entertain yourself for the next 3 weeks......oh wait...Hannah makes for GREAT entertainment! She's soooooo cute!!!!! :)

It was great having you guys up this past week and a few days! I am still looking for a baby doll for miss Hannah. I wish that she was walking for you, but she will! I am glad to hear that Jake's score will be good enough to get into a DO school since that is what his real goal is. I also wanted to thank you so VERY much for all the help you have been to him during this application process. I KNOW that when he does get into school, it will be because both of you have put so much time and effort into it.

It will be an amazing next couple of years for you guys. Your family and career goals are truly honorable. I can't wait to greet little Charlie. I am so happy with the connection that I feel to little Hannah Bug. She is such a joy!

We are always so happy to have your family visit. It was great having you up to stay at the cabin that is just getting finished and being able to take Hannah for a few nights while you and Jake spent some time together was wonderful for me. I wish that we'd had more funding to have made the week trip more exciting ..(I know Bear Lake is always a BLAST) but, maybe things will be more fun on your next visit. Just want to let you know that I love you with all my heart and I am so pleased that you are Jake's wife, Hannah's (and Charlie's) mommie, and most of all MY daughter-in-law.

Have a great day and speedy delivery....Glad all has gone well with your doc visits, you know that I was worried about you leaving....
