Hannah's 1st B-day and the 4th of July!!

So, here are some pics of Hannah's 1st B-day! I can't believe my little girl is 1 year old! We celebrated the occasion in Bear Lake over the 4th of July weekend because both my family and Jake's were there. Hannah had a huge party with so many people that love her and it was great to have everyone there. She really enjoyed smashing that cake around, although it was almost too messy for her to eat! She loved opening her presents (what baby doesn't like ripping paper?:) and she got so many great things! From her Grandparents Packham she got a forward-facing car seat, some link-a-doos that she LOVES and some hair things that will be coming in handy very soon! Thanks Mom! And Grandparents White she got a little push/ride thing that will help her learn how to walk faster! Thanks so much guys--she LOVES this toy too!! And her Great Grandparents White also sent her a cute fuzzy elmo card in the mail along with a fun rythme book! Thanks to everyone who made Hannah's b-day such a memorable time!

Here are the pictures...

"Thank you, thank you for coming to my party..." "Wow--Mom never lets me do this!!"
One lucky Mommy!
Two hungry parents! :) This Dad LOVES his little girl! And to think he wanted a boy first...:)
Opening presents! What little kid doesn't love ripping paper! That was a present in itself!
Hannah with Grandma Packham and her new link beads!
Hannah with Grandma White! And her stylin new toy!
Cruising.... Boy, she loves this thing. I guess thats what helped her take her first steps the day after her official b-day on the 11th!

And, surprise, surprise, Jake accidentally deleted my a whole other section of my blog entry after our computer lost the internet connection, so now I have to retype the whole 4th of July over again.... I guess this is a good thing, because the second time I just get down to business and talk about what happened instead of going into a bunch of boring details! :)
We had quite the group to our house that weekend. All my family was there, all Jake's family was there, (sometimes even including his uncle's family and his grandparents), and some of Karen's inlaws, plus a few other friends!! It was a mad house, but somehow everything managed to run smoothly. (I think it was the fact that the other families had other places to stay. One bathroom for that many people just wouldn't have worked out....:) So, our weekend of the 4th went like this: Arrival on Thursday with a great dinner by mom! Then on Friday morning a group climbed up to Paris Peak. Upon arrival home we grilled burgers and not long after a group went shooting for awhile. Once they got home we had another amazing meal of Navaho Tacos. Then on Saturday morning some went to the flag raising and then we had a huge breakfast with all the fixins! Then we got ready and went to the program in the Tabernacle. We love being a part of that program because it really makes us feel patriotic and love our country and recognize those who have fought to protect it. It was especially touching to see Jake's grandpa stand when we honored the Army vetrans. My grandfather served as well--thanks so much for your service! We love you and appreciate your sacrifice! Then we went to the parade and Jake and I got our annual snow-cone from the Passey's snow shack! (That is probably one of the things I look forward to most! And I always have to get Tiger's Blood with cream--nothing better than that! :) Afterwards we went home and BBQed again, but this time we had cabobs! Oh, they were excellent! And there were even extras for me to take home after the weekend! And to top that meal off we had homemade huckleberry cheesecake icecream!! That ties right there with the snowcone for BEST DESSERT EVER!!! During that day we played some games, including a very exciting game of baseball with the plastic ball and bat on our front lawn! That was really fun to watch, and we only had one casualty! (Sorry Erica! :) That night we had Hannah's B-day party and then the kids went out and lit off the fireworks that Drew brought from Boise.. that was really fun for them, but maybe not so much for our elderly neighbors who were supervising from their door nearly the whole time! :) Some of those went off on the ground and we were all pretty nervous for those kids' lives, either from the blast or from the parental chastizement afterwards...:) On Sunday everyone went to church, had our goodbyes, and then those who were still around ate grilled chicken oustide. Oh, it was excellent! I loved all the eating outside festivities! I'm so glad the weather was nice most of the time! Jake and I packed up and got out around 6:30, but we had all our luggage in the back of the truck and a couch as well and it rained hard on us most of the way home. Luckily nothing was really that wet when we got home, which is surprising because we had to slow to 50 on the freeway because the rain/hydorplaining was so bad! We made it home safe though. :)
We had an AMAZING weekend!! Special thanks goes out to my parents who hosted the whole event soo well! Thanks for all the amazing meals and hard work that went into planning and executing everything, and THANKS SO MUCH to all those who helped in meal payment, preparation and cleanup! We thought everything worked out beautifully and we think everyone had a great time! It was so fun to celebrate such a wonderful holiday with people we love! Hannah helping with the dishes...
Because we had so many people, we just had people write their names on paper cups. As you can see, Jake just wasn't satisfied with the serving size and had to improvise. That's his mason jar with his name written on it! What a cutie! :)
One happy grandma! Thanks everyone for helping with the babies! Its so nice to have a break now and then!
PARIS PEAK PICSChris in his church clothes...Well, almost! :)
Soo beautiful up there!
Amy and Brett taking a breather!
Little Jake on top of the world!

The group! Sorry Whites, I had your family pic posted then accidentally erased it! I still have it in my computer though!

Well, sorry, I just realized that I am not a good picture taker and didn't really get ANY of the festivities over the 4th... I will have to do better, I'm sorry. Thanks for reading and hope you're all doing well!
